False Pen of Scribes
Gen 3:4-5 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The devil twisted God's command to deceive Eve. With a more logical and beneficial proposal, it changed her attitude of distaste and dislike to that of admiration for the forbidden fruit.
False Pen of Scribes
Jer 8:8 “How can you say, ‘We are wise, And the law of the Lord is with us’? Look, the false pen of the scribe certainly works falsehood."
Later, the Devil used false scribes to corrupt His words. The Torah and Prophets were often distorted by the devil to deceive the Jews and the Priesthood. All detected flawed copies were to be burned or destroyed. Satan also sent the false prophets to confuse them and even the priests were lawless.
Unfortunately, the Jews loved the lies and deceptions, which is similar to today's carnal and unlearned Christians with itching ears.
Jer 5:30-31 “An astonishing and horrible thing has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power; and My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?”
Prophets sent by God
Jer 7:25 Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.
God sent His true prophets to admonish, judge and rectify these corruptions, so that all the rejects (false, erred and flawed scriptures) were burned or destroyed.
Unfortunately, these rejected flawed scriptures were kept as religious relics.
Canon Books of the OT
It seems that as far back as Ezra and Nehemiah, the OT were being canonised.
These canon OT books were translated into Greek (Septuagint) in the 3rd Century BC for Jews no longer understand Hebrews. This is the most accurate version of the Old Testament text.
Deuterocanonical or Apocrypha Books
During the 1st-3rd Century BC, many OT books written in Greek (not in Hebrews) were rejected by the Priesthood as not Holy Spirit inspired.
Unfortunately, some of these inferior non canonical 'Apocrypha books' were added to the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Bibles.
Note Protestant bibles use translations of the original Septuagint (without the Apocrypha books) and the Greek NT.
New Testament Bible
The New Testament was written in Koine Greek - the common language of the Eastern Mediterranean then, and also that our Lord Jesus and Jews. The Septuagint (OT in Greek) was used in synagogues for Jews our Lord Jesus used it while reading Isaiah 61:1 (Luke 4:18) in Greek.
The New Testament consists of 27 canon books, all written in Greek. This original Greek NT is part of the Greek Orthodox Bible.
In 380AD, the Greek scriptures were translated into the Latin Vulgate for the sake of the Latin speaking world.
The Eastern Roman Empire retained the Greek Bible but the Western Roman Empire who were Latin speaking used the Latin Vulgate Bible.
God ensures that His words are preserved in both Greek (Bible) and Latin (Vulgate Bible) these 1700 years. God had also prepared them as His truth to be translated into other languages.
Missing text from the NT
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (KJV)
The above text of 1 John 5:7 is found in the original Greek Bible used by the Greek Orthodox church and also in the original Latin Vulgate, the original translation from the Greek Bible in 380 AD.
With this Scripture missing, the Arianians deny the existence of the Triune Godhead or Trinity.
Unfortunately, most modern translations are without this special verse (1 John 5:7) making the NT incomplete, defiled or flawed.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
